So seven teams were within 4 players of the Packers league leading total of drafted players. That's part of the puzzle.

Kind of surprised Minnesota has so few, but they did lose several FAs (M. Williams, Leber, P. Williams) this offseason and don't have the salary cap room to sign many guys."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

Drafted doesn't include undrafted FAs or street FAs that never played for other teams (practice squad or training camp fodder).Originally posted by pbmax View PostFrom this article from last fall: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/102503189.html"There's a lot of interest in the draft. I am willing to accept data from any contributor.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostDrafted doesn't include undrafted FAs or street FAs that never played for other teams (practice squad or training camp fodder).
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

So does McKinnie move to the right side and Loadholt to the bench, or what? I'm curious. If only Rastak still loved us.Originally posted by pbmax View Post</delurk>

Bryant McKinnie was put on the "Non-Football Injury List" today (whatever that means) so the Vikings may have signed Johnson because they are concerned about the availability of their left tackle. It's a theory at least.
Edit: Rotoworld claims that McKinnie showed up "well over" his playing weight of 335 further noting:
So that almost certainly explains the Vikings signing Johnson.McKinnie has a history of weight problems, ballooning to 360 by last season's end. It's also no secret that McKinnie likes to party. The team has placed him on active/NFI to open training camp and can withhold pay if McKinnie doesn't get his act together. It's a major concern for a very poor Vikings line.Last edited by Lurker64; 08-01-2011, 07:19 PM.</delurk>
