Ryan is not a world beater despite his fanboys in the Northeast and that team is facing a tough schedule in a tough division following a year that they had good injury luck. Seems a recipe for coming down to earth.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

North: PackersOriginally posted by Bretsky View Postthis is not a thread for comments w/o Iron Clad Predications .....make your six picks !!
South: Saints
East: Eagles
West: whocares/Cardinals
WC1: Bucs
WC2: Falcons
The Packers really have by far the best defense in the NFC don't they?70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

It's not just about personnel, it's about scheme. Dom Capers is one of the great defensive minds of our era, whereas the Eagles DC is their old OL coach... who hasn't coordinated defense since he was a linebacker's coach at a Texas high school in 1989.Originally posted by smuggler View PostDepends on the amount of pressure the Eagles can generate. They have kinda crappy LBs, but their secondary is siiiick.</delurk>

Couple comments
Lots of RAM love in here....I like it.....but could not pick them in hopes perhaps my reverse whammy cardinal prediction would propel them to a division title
Da Bears....terrible offseason by their GM; I think they fall off some
Saints....like the Ealges they made several nice offseason moves.
Falcons have a rough road but I still think the quality of that team makes it to the playoffsTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

No Falcons in the NFC and no Jets in the AFC. I see either the Bucs or Falcons missing the playoffs in the crowded NFC south. The Jets lost a lot of players this off season so they will take a step back. I think the Broncos will surprise a lot of people. Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil rushing from the edges will take that defense into the top half of the league.
Colts don't make it this year b/c they probably start slow with Manning not a 100%.
49ers start hot and hold on the win the division 9-7.Draft Brandin Cooks WR OSU!

I don't meant this to sound like picking on you, TPB, but one of my few self-imposed rules for prognosticating is do not pick all of last year's division winners to repeat. It never happens. One or more of them always disappoint, either because of injuries or because the previous year they in fact overachieved.Originally posted by TennesseePackerBacker View PostNFC Division winners:

EDIT: Ok, I now see you didn't pick the Bears to repeat. Well done.

It would be interesting to have a separate sub forum on here for predictions and bets and the like. That way we can gloat and hack on each other (even more).
Here are my afc picks
Pats 12-4
Steelers 11-5
Colts 10-6
Cheifs 10-6
Wc ravens 11-5, jets 10-5. I just realized how little competition is in afc. The only other teams that might come close are sd and hou. Also I picked kc over sd just so hoosier wouldn't hack on me!All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.
