I like RB's who do a good job reading their blocks, break tackles and make guys miss. Green does all three.


You watch guys like CJ spiller coming out of college. He ran a fast 40. He was about the same size as Chris Johnson. Everyone was all over his jock. But you look at their clips. . . First, Johnson was just more productive, but 2nd, he broke a lot of tackles. CJ Spiller either had wide open space or went down on first contact.

There are guys who run hard and have good instincts who do alright. They chug out tough yards. Grant is like that. But great backs. . . . They break tackles and/or make guys miss. They also have good instincts. Green showed all three in college.

I like him a lot. The things he does are the things great NFL running backs do.

Another thing with Green, he does have a little shiftiness to him and normally those bouncy runners annoy the piss out of me, but Green does it going forward. He changes pace a little, but he doesn't stop. His moves are mostly full speed ahead and changing pace to set up blocks.
