Wilde mentioned Rodgers talking to Starks after at least 2 of the sacks, making me think that at least some of the protection problem lies there.

Maybe, but these weren't free blitzers. If Starks is involved, its either as last line of defense or as a chip blocker, which he did once.

Possible they were discussing releasing to go out on a checkdown route.

I always wonder how much you can analyze from a defensive perspective in pre season games. I doubt there's much in terms of scouting, game prep or schemes - really looking more at fundamentals, base sets, and individual reads. Sure - Dom will throw in a few blitzes and some formations but nothing special.

Now - the Oline does have me worried. And the RBs seem to be trying to run over people (instead of around them). Arod was a little off in mid 2nd q with timing but looked pretty solid.

Well - that's a little concerning. Addai split through the D too often. Giving up a 2min drill TD is disheartening.

Still - doubtful teams are putting out advanced plans to show tendencies in pointless games.

kind of funny; my my NY planning for the auction the smarter teams will get two solid TE's and then grab 2-3 sleepers knowing if you hit on one you can later trade him for a VERY good WR. We have to start two TE's and we often just decide on who to go get.

Right now targeting Finley as 1, Owen Daniels or Graham as the #2..........then thinking about flyers to pay a few bucks for Greg Olson, Cook from TN, Beckam, and Kendricks.....always partial to the ex Badgers
