  • Does preseason suck?

no! preseason rocks, best time of year to talk football, at least until the playoffs.

and if anybody asks you, 4 preseason games is not too many, they need that time to separate the good from the bad. This year, the pack could use more time to find good for the lines.

OK, but must admit the last two weeks of preseason are getting old. the last game is a bore. Thrill of practice reports is long gone. it sucks a bit now.

The last game is rough. I made it through 4 quarters of game three, but that is unlikely tonight.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The worst part about the last preseason "game" is you don't see much of the starters. Of all of these scrimmages I'm glad I'm gonna miss this one. Happily I'll be watching Bucky on BSPN.

Tis a necessary evil... I usually tape them, then go back and look at specific players, just to see how they are looking.

Besides, if you've ever played the game... there is one hell of a big difference between being in shape, and being in "game shape".

preseason is not just the games, which are so-so at best. its seeing how the team is coming together, what is going on with players around league, what teams are going to rise/fall

same deal with spring training for baseball, for those who consider baseball a sport

Exactly what I do, tough to watch live but great for isolating on a specific player...

Watching baseball these days is like watching paint dry.

Except for season ticket holders who actually have to pay money for these games, no they do not suck. Great way to get ready for primetime smack talk and as others have said, weeding out the good, the bad, and the old...

Its not about the team, its about the length of time games take today. Watching a player step out of the batters box 12 different times during an at bat or a pitcher step off the mound six times before the throws a pitch is too much for my patience.
