Well, i'm disgusted by the lack of competition by the NFC south today. Switching over to watch the Saskatchewan Roughriders kick some Winnipeg butt.

I haven't watched any of the PHI game. Is Bradford playing that poorly?

        Code:
St. Louis Rams Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating
        Sam Bradford(notes) 11 21 115 52.4 5.5 3 19 0 0 68.6
Looks like it. They have 143 yards rushing, only 1 TO and 3 sacks. Philly pass rush looks legit this week. He has played Captain Checkdown before too.

There's some serious playoff loss hangover going on. I didn't think the Steelers or Falcons did much to address their vulnerabilities on defense, so you can see them getting their asses kicked. Chiefs - you all saw that last preseason game - there's something wrong there, where a coach has his starters go so long in a preseason game. Maybe the Chiefs needed the conditioning, or maybe you have a coach making a very bad move. I think the latter.

Corey Bradford? Is he still in the league?

Welcome to the NFC North, everybody. Damn, the Lions look tough. Or the Bucs look sucky. I'm not sure which or if it's both.

The Pack needs to get that defense straightened out and the special teams coverage units. You can talk all you want about how good the Saints' offense is, but the Leos look deadly right now and if Stafford stays heatlhy, there will be no margin for error against that team. Slocum needs to get it all cleaned up in his unit, and Capers needs to figure out how to shore up that D.

Most of the advanced football metrics were down on last year's Falcons team. They more or less an average team that caught a bunch of lucky breaks, you can't necessarily replicate that from year to year.

Remember, the NFC South feasted on a bunch of easy games last year. Each of the three teams in that division last year had a combined 10 games against the NFC West, Browns, Bengals, and Panthers. It's not hard to win double-digits with that schedule.

True that. But - it's the Bills - in KC. Crazy blow outs today. Bears are putting some huge hits on Falcons.

Stafford gimping off (cramp?). Freeman left the field earlier after a nasty hit.

And that same dynamic will cause people to overrate the Bears. After a good season last year (plus a whole lot of luck) and now they will beat the darlings of the last two years.

Every team with a top 15 quarterback should be chucking it on them. Cutler's throwing into some pretty big holes out there.

Also, the birds turned it over a couple of times. They made a lot of hay last year "taking care of the football", whether that was luck or not I don't know but they look sloppy with the ball today.
