Tra Boger got burnt bad on that one play where he took a horrible angle, but after that he played solidly and batted a few balls away from the receiver. Hodge was beat more badly AND more often on his coverages. I kept seeing a LB blowing up a Charger and thinking I'd see #55 crawl out of the pile but it was always either Barnett, Taylor or Hawk, Hodge just didn't get involved and was usually seen standing around the pile watching. Juice Coston made me want to cry how can anyone calling themselves an O lineman get blasted backwards 5 yards to his ass, by a LBer no less.

I was most glad to see the coaching staff actually make game time adjustments something i never saw out of Sherman.

Yeah, that angle was embarrasing, and reminded me of Darren Sharper in his first couple of years. It's like Carroll. Even if he plays well 95% of the game, the 5% will kill ya. These guys need to be consistent, play in and play out.

I finally got to watch most of the 1st game, couple of thoughts I haven't seen brought up yet.

On many of the Chargers 3rd down conversions, we had the ballcarrier hit before the 1st down marker, but couldn't bring them down, and they carried the extra 3-4 yards for the 1st down. Tackle the SOB's.

It seemed to me that the Charger receivers looked like frickin tight ends, they were huge next to our DB's

They were 2 or 3 plays where Aaron Rogers should have have personal fouls called due to late hits on him, none called.

Our defense tried to wear down the Chargers offense by making them have those 10 minute drives, but that didn't work so well.
