Didn't the offending Bear player admit he held Bush on the play?

      Yep. Classic trap game.
      I can't run no more
      With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
      Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
      A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Von Miller looks pretty good so far and if they get Dumervil and DJ Williams back they'll have some pass rush. Bailey might be able to go. He and Dawkins are still better than many but they're getting long in the tooth. The Broncos are playing hard for Fox right now, and though they don't have anywhere near the talent the Packers do, they've been scrappy.

That doesn't win ball games, but it annoys the hell out of people:

            Slocum is a boob.
If you tell your punter to be sure and kick it out of bounds, you are risking a major shank. Give the Bears the ball at midfield with that much time left and you are still leaving them an open window for a comeback. The better solution is to have Masthay give an audible confirmation after the kick that the ball is indeed headed in the intended direction.

With Hester back there to return? I think never letting him touch it when they need two scores in about a minute is solid strategy, especially the way Cutler was scatter shot with his passing.

I would have said the same thing last January in the fourth quarter against Caleb Hanie. And that was against a well-oiled defense that wasn't in the habit of letting run of the mill guys like Davis run rampant through its secondary. You never know when a QB is going to suddenly catch fire--or just get lucky--so, if you have a punter who can do it, better to pin them deep when there is still enough time for two scores. I suppose it comes down to this: who do you trust more to do their job, your punter or your pass defense? Apparently the Packers trust Masthay, and based on recent results I have to agree.
