I really dig this commercial on a ton of levels.

Basically, I totally dig that A-Rod doesn't take himself so seriously.

But it also goes to a point that I think contributes to his mental greatness -- he doesn't have the prototypical QB look. He's not 6'4", and he's not Brady-pretty. Which I think contributes to his superb, chip-on-his-shoulder attitude.

I don't want to marry the guy. But I'm glad he's the QB for my team.

    Ok, I'd marry him.

    But I'd pitch, dang it!

Nice to see him getting some attention - but it kind of feels like a 'sell-out' to use that for the commercial. Or maybe you're right Noodle, he doesn't take himself too seriously.

The guy was able to monetize something that started as a little inside joke thing with his buddies. I'd say that's pretty good, definitely ok with it.

Love the commercial in a lot of ways too. I want to NOT like the inbred-looking Packer fan, but he makes me chuckle out loud every time and it's hard to not like that.

I was told about the commercial but hadnt seen it. Was it on the Sunday Night game? Cuz I didnt see it but I might have been on break during halftime. Thanks for posting.

This is a good commercial. Doesn't try to hard too be funny (Peyton Manning) and just acts like himself. I like the way the insurance dude ripped off the move and has customers calling it the discount double check. Good shit.

well...i liked it at first but the more i saw it the more i dislike it. now everytime AR does the belt people are going to think this instead of what it really is. it's turned an exclamation mark into a period.
