Why is the field shiny?

FO ranks the Packers 16th in run defense success.

Advanced NFL Stats has them 30th in Run D success.

Jeez, couldn't be much farther apart. And yet they are statistically 4th best at 83 yards per game given up. All over the map. My eyes tell me that for the most part - and QB's like Vick omitted from my evaluation since it's not conventional run defense - we're holding most of our opponents' runners under 4 ypc. Clutch at the 1 yard line with the game on the line too. That's what I look for in rush defense.
