      • You know what is really going to piss me off, if Ponder's next game is crap. That'll just certify even more that this defense truly sucks.

I think they should donate those.

          • Anyone wanna give a breakdown of Newhouse today? I really didn't watch him all that much. Saw the first two sacks and he was responsible for at least one of those. I think he let Allen go once too on a run play which ended up for a TFL. Again, not too sure. I did see he was getting help at times, but again, I don't know if it was alot or what.

i wouldn't say he looked real good. other then his fist pass he did a lot of dink and dunk crap and he did make some huge mistakes

after one game, i see him as a flaco type qb. good enough to win, but nothing special and never huge numbers

              but who knows

              • I thought he was pretty impressive. His receiver corp sucks. He throws very well on the run. He made the usual rookie mistakes, which is why his team lost.
                I can't run no more

The "fine for drops" is actually paid out to each of the other WRs. Each GB WR owes the other four WRs $100 gift cards for every drop they make (and "drop" is defined as "pass that hits both your hands".) I think it's against NFL rules for the team to institute a fine for failure to perform, or something similar.

They could probably do it for charity, but I think they'd rather get the Best Buy gift cards.

I know how and why they do it. I just think they should quietly choose a charity every week an not tell anyone, then donate whatever cards would make the most sense for that charity. What does a millionaire football player need Best Buy cards for?

He struggled with speed to the outside with Allen. He also got hurt a couple of times when he was ripped, basically, Allen grabbing his shirt or shoulder and pulling him aside as Allen pulled himself past Newhouse.

If I had too guess, I would almost say he looked short armed against Allen. But that may just be a simplistic explanation for what actually occurred.

He did run block better than Clifton. Two of their best runs were behind him and Lang. But his pass pro isn't at that level yet.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Cobb can probably use those cards, he's significantly less wealthy than the other four...

These guys should play for 30,000/year and the rest should be taken from them. What do they need more than an apartment, food and a midsize sedan anyway?

Don't make it political. We're talking about a couple hundred bucks voluntarily given that would net them an amazing amount of goodwill.

Don't make it political. I'm talking about self-righteous people who think they know best how other people should spend their money.

                              • Maybe we should start attacking players like we are attacking police officers and fire fighters. All of sudden they are the enemy. What a great system. Go out and risk your life every day for a thankless public and then don't you dare complain when that same public tries to take away your pay, health benefits and pension. And if you dare say anything, you will be told YOUR LUCKY YOU HAVE A JOB! Bwahahahaha.

Now that is making it political. Ignore that rant. I just needed to get it out.

                                Back to the Pack...
