  • (Big) Weiners and Loozers

Well, here it is, just to get you started:

    Loozers:

Ryan Taylor, for letting the ball bounce between his legs.

Dom Capers, for taking so long to take Bishop off Gates, and for not being "creative," as Woodson put it, with Matthews.

Marshall Newhouse, who stood watching the defenders he was supposed to block chasing Aaron Rodgers all over. God, he was terrible.

The whole offensive line. The interior of the line crumpled all afternoon, it seemed, and on the key third and two at the end, they couldn't do shit to give Starks a crease to salt the game away with a first down.

The defense - particularly those responsible for giving Philip Rivers enough time to order a meal before having to throw a pass. Pass rush? What's that?

Whoever it was that allowed the San Diego special teams player to nearly block two of Masthay's punts.

    (Big) Weiners:

    Starks was good.

    Rodgers was very, very good.

The receivers were very, very good.

    Masthay and Crosby were good.

    Others? Weiners and loozers?

    I'm with Fritz!

Also, Scott Wells is sooo underrated. I voted for him on the probowl ballot.

finley wasn't a weiner, but he sure was a hot dog. I imagine when he takes a dump, he calls anyone in earshot into the bathroom to see the wonderful thing he has done.

Sheezus, I've got to "cover up" Harlan's comment. That's gross, blue hound.

Big Weiner was the crowd. 3rd largest in Charger history with many, many Packer fans. The boys in white were urging the crowd to make noise, forcing the Bolts to go with a silent count. Pack fans remained long after the game, cheering the G&G. Nobody travels like the Pack. So the crowd gets a big weiner, suitable for grilling.

Wouldn't Peprah qualify as a big weiner?*

*I had to miss most of the game because my kids were running amok all day long, and my wife finally got tired of wrangling and locked herself in her office, leaving me with three crazed children to manage. I did manage to see Peprah's pick six and his final why-doesn't-he-get-down long interception return. Whatever he did in between those two feats, on return yards alone he should be awarded a weiner.

We had a report in the Game Day thread about Matthews limping, apparently a Tweet from Bill Michaels. I have seen nothing in any other report not any other tweet of this nature. Just the Zombo hammy issue. Anyone else have an update?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

For the love of all things green and gold, put Peprah on the weiner list! Sheesh, I hope he got the game ball.

I have a preggo wife and a nutty 2 year old so I've been watching most games on the run.

If the NFL Network reshows this game I'll watch Newhouse more closely. I suspect once (if) Cliffy returns he'll get his old job back pronto. Anybody know how he is doing?

MM said last week he is "multiple weeks" away from returning.

Hard for us to know what his responsibilities are on a given play. He and Tramon seem to be miscommunicating, but I'm not sure who is most at fault.

Congrats on the imminent addition. Prepare for it to get a whole lot worse. You might want to consider investing in a Tivo if you don't have one. Just be sure to keep the remotes out of sight.

i think AR was holding the ball too long yesterday on a lot of those sacks.

could be. But i think that was Rodger's best game ever. I say that becausr AR was throwing off his back foot, and threading the ball through defensive linemen most of the time. AR's accuracy under pressure was spaaaaaahshal.
