Johnson and Pettigrew present a more severe challenge for the secondary. If they can control those two, Woodson will have a big day. Was Pettigrew hurt? He did nothing against Denver - not that they needed him - and was invisible at Chicago."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Like I said in another thread, I have spent the first half of the season following TX impact through TX and Ok every weekend and didn't get a chance to watch many games. Yes my loyalty's have been tested, but getting TX Impact's center fielder a scholorship to play ball in college has to take predidence right now! What I have taken away is that it seems the D was and is playing loose due to the fact they were scoring so many points. This league is designed to let offenses get yards and the fact that GB was giving them up didn't suprise me much. I looked at the SD game and thought, hell the D scored 2x in the first quarter the team had a huge lead most of the game, so the D kinda played loose. They give up the TD late no big deal, the big deal was the onside kick. Now it looks like a game. I feel the D will still come up big when it needs too and a big part of that will be CW. The dude is a special player! Hall of fame player no question. I think Capers got sick of hearing how shitty his D was and said fuck it we are going to bring the hammer against the rookie. Getting Tramon and Shields healthy doesn't hurt either. CW does what he does and he is the best in the business at it, even at 35....Fuck Polomalu, I'll take CW any day of the week!

and yes.Originally posted by The Shadow View PostWoodson has lost a step. yes. And there have been games where it seems he is only seen when dragging a receiver down after a catch (and this can seem pretty weird after the seasons when he seemed to come up with at least 2 or 3 game-changing-type plays per game).
But : he is still exactly the guy you want lurking in the secondary, despite the stretches of invisibility. In the big games to come, his innate instincts will pay off - sometimes when least expected. The quick slice into the backfield to cause a fumble (remember the Giant's game?), the tipping of a screen pass, the tripping up of a back attempting to reach the edge, the qb pressure on a blitz - or the timely interception - will matter during crunchtime.Who Knows? The Shadow knows!

I was doing both. Oh the subtlety! Oh, THE HUMANITY! Using michael haddix would have been awesome."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

2 years from now, who can replace him? They seemed to be grooming Collins for that role, with Burnett to replace Collins in his role. I dont see anyone on this team right now who can step into Woodsons shoes. Will it call for a change of scheme? All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.
