  • OFFICIAL GREEN BAY PACKERS vs. MN VIKINGS GAME DAY THREAD

    Getting close to gametime

OK, on a less than serious note, it's time to give the Queens a tribute before going into the game.
"BAD BOYS and BAD LUCK" Brings back memories

On to the game, keep in mind this is a fierce divisional rival who has a starting Rookie QB's who shows some interesting parallel's to that of Aaron Rodgers. Ponder is fairly mobile, seems to be smart and under control, and have a real nice arm. He looks within his element, and to help things he gets the pleasure of handing the ball off to All Day Peterson.

Last time we played the Vikes most of the big/overconfident homers called for an absolute blowout. The Christian looked pretty good. As we have seen in the past, AP looked good but the Queens seemed to go away from him as the game progressed. While we seemed to have the game under control with a 33-17 lead, they fought back to 33-27 and if not for our offense running out the time it looked like they were poised to continue the assult on our less that stellar defense.
And all of this was without Percy Harvin....who went out in quarter 2 with an injury.

Take your Homer Shades off. It's tough to sweep a divisional foe, and the Vikes seem to have things moving in the right direction. On defense, expect the Vikes to give us a healthy does of All Day Peterson in order to limit our offensive possessions. He ran for 175 yards against our less than stellar defense a few weeks ago, he averages about 110yds vs GB, and expect him to get that and more. Christian Ponder looked poise and threw for two TD's and 210yds in his first NFL start against GB, and with our defense ranked 30th in total defense and 31st in passing defense, expect a lot of swearing in the Packerrats game thread forum as we wonder how the same squad minus Jenkins and Collins could continue to look so lost.

On offense, things will not be as easy as da homers think.A wise man predicted Jake Allen would make Marshall Newhouse his bitch the last time they played, and it'll happend again tomiorrow night. , and expect Ponder to use his wheel plenty rolling out and creating plays out of nothing. Allen had two sacks and blew up several run plays before the Packers decided to give him dedicated help. Good chance the same happens again tomorrow. Don't be surprised to see one turnover via a fumble and a lot of cussing at Mr. Bush...once again.

Lots of scoring is coming. Speaking of memories, anybody else care to remember an awesome winning streak of consecutive Home Game Wins that we were all so proud of. Confidence was running high, and da Packer Homer Community was living the good life. Anybody remember who ripped our hearts out and pissed in our Kool Aide ?

    HERE THEY COME

The shit is going to hit the fan once again Rats, and this is what you are going to feel like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right Rats; the ship sinks tomorrow.

In a NFL Shocker, the Vikes Beat the Pack 31-30 on a Ryan Longwell Field Goal as Time Expires. Take it to the Bank

    Whammy Live On !!!!!
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

With the way the o line and d line are playing I am thinking AR doesnt make it trough the game and AP runs for 230 and 3 tds

To be fair to the def., I just don't think they have been forced to play lock down def. this season, yet. When you are up 2-3 scores in the 3rd and 4th quarters you tend to play less aggressive and try and keep things in front of you. This may bite them in the arse, but that remains to be seen. I have confidence this D will step up when it needs to. Granted, I have been following my daughter all around TX and OK this season concentrating on TX Impact softball and havn't had the opportunity to watch all the games, but that is my opinion and I'm sticking to it! At least, until GB gets beat!!!

I love how he says, "run it, run it Favre."

Even in that moment, the split second as it was happening, that guy knew exactly what to do. And then the response. . . . He wasn't just angry because the play failed. He was angry at the decision.

Feels good to have Aaron Rodgers. He woulda ran it.
