455 Yards to a piss poor offense, another near special teams breakdown with some severe luck when a punt is not blocked, a less than dominating offense..............and we squeaked out another win. Here is to you Defense

THE LIONS DEN AWAITS US
The last time there was a national televised game in Detroit, the crowd was so unruly they forced 9 false start pentalties against the Bears.
So we better have some of this with us tomorrow
If we come out flat, and play like we did at home against the Bucs, we could be facing a serious asskicking
For some reason, lately the Lions bring out their best against us, and they undboutedly will do so in front of a national audience in their house on Thanksgiving. Quite honestly, I could think of a worst day to play Detroit. Last year, a subpar Lions team matched up very well against us. We squeaked out a 28-26 win at Lambeau Field, and then lost on the road to a nasty defensive effort. They made our OL their biatches and knocked AROD's ass out of the game
After Thanksgiving last year, Detroit was won 11 of their last 15 games.
.
That DL is nasty, that DL is good, and that DL is borderline dirty. We can't have this again
We all know what can derail our train. So does Detroit. They will hit AROD and they will hit him often. Hopefully he makes it through this game.
Will history repeat itself ? As most of you have heard, in 1962 the Pack started 10-0, lost to Detroit on Thanksgiving, and then went on to win the rest of the game and the SuperBowl. Vince Lombardi commented after that game he was relieved to get the loss aside so they can get back to business and move on from the undefeated talk. That may occur again.
Expect this to be the loudest and nastiest environment we see all year. This is the ultimate showdown. Screw the turnkey and the frickin dressing. Get the Brats on the Grill, the Packer Jerseys out, and get tippin the Brewskies.
We can expect Fireworks tomorrow; Bretsky lays the over under at 62 points and that is probably low.
The Packers are facing a greatly improved Lions offense. Matthew Stafford already has over 2800 yards passing, 25 touchdowns to 10 interceptions, and he has proven to have some toughness this year playing through some injuries. Detroits entire starting OL is back for the second straight season, and their offense ranks in the top 10 in passing yards and sacks allowed. They will focus on the Claymaker and with little pass rushing talent at the other OLB spot our pressure will be sporadic.
Expect a great battle between Charles Woodson and Megatron, who has 8 touchdowns in 7 career games vs Green Bay. Expect Woodsen to get away with some muggings and expect a could pass interference or illegal contact penalties from him as well. Having the respect he does, he seem to get away with more illegal contact than any CB I see. Expect Nate Burleson to be their possession guy and Brandon Pettigrew, one of the most complete TE's in the NFL, will have a very solid game.
We gave up 455 yards to Reds favorite NFL quarterback and a surrounding cast that is no better than average.
We rank 31st in the NFL for passing defense. Tyrone Williams isn't playing as good as he was late last year, and da homers who were on the Sam Shields bandwagon won't be bringing up the silly comparison with Joe Haden anymore. He too needs to step up his game. I still see a nice ceiling for Burnett, although I wonder if we have a safety to shut down Piettigrew. All things added up, it's scary to consider what one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL could do to us at home on their annual Turkey Bowl. \
They will score. They will score often. We need to match their fire. Or our unfeated season will blow up
When Green Bay has the ball, the key is finding a way to keep Aaron Rodgers in a rhythym. In other words, Marshall puffcake Newhouse needs to hold his own or get help, and the rest of the OL has to be adequate against one of the younger and better DL's in the NFL. We will see Vandenbosch best Newhouse. And Corey Williams, who we traded for Brian Brohm
, has returned to his old form and showed that he can be a very very good player when surrounded by a stellar cast. Suh, well, we just cant let him tear us apart. That DL can't get much better and they have two reserves that would be starting for some NFL teams. This is our biggest challenge on offense given the atmosphere.
As always, we'll be looking for the big play. However, the Lions counter with a defense that prevents the big play as well as any team. The Lions have allowed only seven pass plays of 30-or-more yards, tied with the Dallas Cowboys for second-fewest in the NFL. The Lions drop 7 defenders into coverage over 80% of the time, and their front 4 has accounted for 23 sacks, which is more than the total number of sacks for 14 teams. Rodgers has been sacked 25 times, which is tied for the fourth most in the NFL. In fact, perhaps in shooting for another record, Rodgers has been sacked in 22 consecutive games. He is trails Flacco by 3 games for the highest active streak.
To taper down the crowd, don't be surprised if we see Green Bay go with a lot more no huddle offense than we've seen in the past. Hopefully this will help them get in a good rhythym and keep the Lions off balance. . Detroits secondary is improved but is not nearly good enough to match up with our top 4 WR's and Finley. But I'm not convinced AROD will consistently have enought time to get in the rhythym he needs to for a dominating performance.
All this adds up to a very close game that will be high scoring.
All this adds up to one nasty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkLXD...eature=related
Emotions will run high.....and we will turn off the TV hating Suh more than we ever have before.
The atmosphere, the desperation, the Motor Bowl Super Bowl. All of this will spell only one thing for our undefeated record.
Chalk is up, Mark it Down, Take it to the Bank Rats. Been calling this one for weeks now.
Bretsky lays down the iron clad guarantee. Lions win Lions Win Lions win the Motor Bowl
Detroit 34
Green Bay 31
