It looked much worse than a sprain, however I hope that is what it is. Regardless he looks done for the season. Did they say how serious the concusion to wood was? He is a big part of what they do on D and losing him and Collins is horrible.
All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.
Two things on the Quarless injury: first off, that was on the punt return where he signaled for the fair catch and still returned it. secondly, Quarless was hurt on an illegal block in the back. THATS WHY THOSE BLOCKS ARE ILLEGAL. I expect a fine for both that play and the leverage play by JPP or Tuck or whoever it was. When you deliberately break rules, it has to get a response from the league.

I wonder how the league will view it?
As mentioned in the game thread, Pereira said it should be called an illegal fair catch signal. Quite possible Quarless saw the signal, pulled up a bit and got caught off balance.

Imagine for a moment a world without hypothetical situations...

The block was mostly from the side. There could have been a penalty, but it would have been a close call. The knee buckled as he was planting it to slow down and change directions. That, plus the force of the block, was too much. A sprain can mean anything - from a slight tear in the meniscus all the way to a Brooks-like rupture of multiple ligaments. For Quarless, I'm guessing three: ACL, lateral collateral, and meniscus. Ouch!

Which would put him on the PUP for next year without a second consecutive offseason program. I like Quarless and have hopes that he'll become another weapon for the team considering his college capabilities.
No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.
