Two weeks ago I made a joke about some of us being called up to be backup lb's. I think it is more probable for OL. Anyone here on the large side? I'm like a fat weak Scott Wells. All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.

Newhouse and Taylor were offensive tackles during some overlapping years at TCU. I wonder if that connection has something to do with picking him up. If nothing else, the packer scout had his eye on both guys. I assume that scout is no longer with us.
Just kidding, newhouse has shown potential, especially for low round pick.

I have a feeling Bulaga will be back for the playoffs at least, but Cliffy? Who can tell? I sure hope so!Originally posted by pittstang5 View PostIf Clifton and Bulaga can't go, which seems likely, this guy is going to have to be activated on Sunday. He hasn't played in the NFL since 2009? This situation sucks and I can't believe there isn't someone out there that might be better.

It says Campbell is probably more of a guard or center and that the Packers didn't expect to need another tackle with Clifton, Bulaga, Newhouse, and Sherrod on the roster...Originally posted by Pugger View PostThe pickings I'm sure are pretty thin right about now so it is a good thing they got someone who has actually played on another team in the NFL. What does this say about the tackle on our PS - Campbell? No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.

Taylor was drafted in 2007, so there is a chance TT had him on his draft board at the time. Just because he doesn't draft 'em doesn't mean he forgets about 'em.I can't run no more

I don't think he'll start. I've been wondering, though, if he continues to feel ok through the week, does he suit up as a "break glass in case of emergency" guy?Originally posted by Pugger View PostI guess they said Cliffy was moving around pretty good today. I don't know if he'll play on Sunday, however. But if his back doesn't act up he could be good to go in the playoffs. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

I wouldn't be surprised if Clifton played. He's definitely shown in the past he doesn't need a lot of practice to get ready to play in a game.I can't run no more
