  • OFFICIAL GREEN BAY PACKERS VS CHICAGO BEARS GAMEDAY SUPER-DUPER HOLIDAY EDITION THREAD

    Merry Christmas everyone!!

It's Sunday and Wisconsinites are loving the weather in the 30s today. My wife says it's freezing but we're still making the trip... she's actually yelling at me right now to get going but I'm telling her "priorities..." and this is just as important as anything else. No, we don't have tickets but she's hot and I'll send her to find some if needed!

Vegas had the point spread at -13.5 and the public is pounding the Bears to move the line down to -11.5 right now. -13.5 was one of the biggest -- if not THE biggest -- spreads in the rivalry's history. I had $20 in my 5dimes.com account and accidentally put it on the Bears in my haste 5 minutes ago! Reverse jinx since I never win anyway. Telling me there's not a lot of faith in a big Packer win today. Chicago radio pundits are predicting crazy blowout scores in the Packer favor however.

You know what they say -- they don't build those big palaces in the desert (Vegas) with the public winning and Vegas always knows better. A win today and the Packers clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs and that's exactly what's going to happen. Take the Packers, lay the points and double up.

I expect to see more of a rushing focus from the team than we've seen all year. Both Saine and Starks are expected back in the fold and we'll do anything we can to keep Rodgers healthy.

I'll gladly lose my $20 (how the hell did I do that anyway?!) and call a 27-13 Packers victory. Superstitions be damned... Pack win easily and get to rest starters next week versus the Lyins.

    GO PACK GO!!

Great start for what is hopefully a run to the promised land! Now that presents and big meal are done it is time to clean, play and get ready for a late present!

I'm feeling good about this one... I don't think it'll be easy because it's the Bears but I'm feeling 20-10 Pack.

Bishop helps the pass rush, Cobb gets more looks, and the sight of the Bears jerseys triggers something in Finley's psyche that makes him remember he has good hands.

Just turning on the grill now for Christmas Dinner.

I think the Packers return to the 49ers west coast offense this week to get the ball out of ARod's hand quickly and to protect him from taking a beating. I also think this helps our offense and we put up 24 points in the first half. The Bears will have some luck at the end of the game when we are playing prevent.

                  Pack wins, 34-24.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I've had a lousy week...even for me. A victory of any descript would be nice.

Hangin in NYC with my sis/bro-in-law. Going to a bar soon - after drinking all day.

All I really want for Christmas is HFA.

                        Go Pack!

Stuffed with Christmas ham, sweet potatoes, pork and beans, cornbread....too full to even start on the pumpkin pie until kickoff. (What kind of beer goes with pumpkin pie?) Kids are happy with their gifts, wife is happy with her and all is right inmy little corner of the universe. I'm thinking a running back breaks 100 yards and Pack win going away, 31-10.
