  • 2012 Schedule

    http://blogs.greenbaypressgazette.co...le-nearly-set/

Is it just me, or does this schedule look rather unimposing?

    Home games

    Chicago Bears

    Detroit Lions

    Minnesota Vikings

    Arizona Cardinals

    San Francisco 49ers

    Jacksonville Jaguars

    Tennessee Titans

    New Orleans Saints

    Away games

    Chicago Bears

    Detroit Lions

    Minnesota Vikings

    St. Louis Rams

    Seattle Seahawks

    Houston Texans

    Indianapolis Colts

NFC East champion (Dallas or New York Giants)
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

It's just you. Texans, 49ers, Saints, Lions twice, Much improved Seahawks, Colts with Manning? Giants?
Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
Peter: I'll tell you what it's not for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.

        13-3-1

A lot depends on Manning's health, but the Colts don't scare me except its in the dome. AFC South Texans are going to be tough but the Titans still need a QB and who can say if CJ2K will be anck to frightening form?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Playing the AFC South and the NFC West is probably the most generous first place schedule you can get these days, though.

Given the NFC this season, 13-3-1 might not even get a wild card next year

I'm pretty sure 13-3-1 means you've lost in the playoffs in your first opportunity... unless they start playing 17 games in the regular season.

(EDIT: Or there's another playoff game to be played.)

I see a Seattle game with Mike and Cheesy in my future.

I'm with you, drawing the AFC South makes it look pretty cake.

But that's at the end of this season. We all know that stuff changes with each new season......

This. It is the parity od the NFL that makes it so attractive and so darned difficult to predict!

Things do change from season to season, but that is definitely as good a schedule as you can hope for.

Texans - might be good, but do Schaub and Super Mario come back 100% from IR? Does Andre Johnson heal up, or are his injuries going to continue to nag him? They may be in for an off year.
Indi - I don't care if Peyton is back. That team is bad. As discussed in other threads, they were on the decline, and went over the edge this year. Losing Manning made it that much worse, but do they win more than 8 with him???
Jax is in bad shape, all around. Looks like they may have gotten the worst of the first day rookie QBs. He hasn't shown a thing. There's also the upheavals from an ownership change.
Seahawks are an interesting team, and one that I can see taking a step forward next year. Need a QB though, Jump Pass is not going to get them over the hump.

Makes you wonder who will be in the Thursday night season opener.

New Orleans Saints or the San Francisco Forty-niners
