Weird. I've never said yes to a job where I do not know what the compensation will be.

I'm guessing more that it's like pbmax said, money was discussed in broad terms but not nailed down.

As to how someone can accept a position without knowing, it's because they live in a different reality, of course. Does it really matter if they makes $5.5 million or 6? Only for ego purposes, to make sure he's slotted correctly among his peers.

From what I've read, Perry, Whitt, and Greene are the real up-and-comers on the defensive side.

This is a distraction - however, I don't think it's at the level of Mike Holmgrenmania during a certain playoff run. Mikey let that one get out of hand, methinks. He got a little weird that year, too - a little paranoid, with the helicopters flying around and Mikey wondering about spies. That run up to the SB did not have a good feel to it. Reports out of AZ (it was AZ, right, where they played?) were, well, weird. Players seemed distracted. Mikey was paranoid and testy.

We'll see how this plays out. Hopefully Mckenzie knows "the Packer way," part of which is to be classy about doing things - which means not drawing attention to the Packer coaches who might be part of hi coaching search.

Andy Reid might be available to come back to Green Bay as the qb coach.

No I hear that position may go to Peyton Manning as TC will be our new OC. Peyton has excellent experience tutoring L'il Bro Eli....and that's been a huge success.

I think any assistant can interview for a HC job. But a team would need an okay from McC for any of our assistants to talk to another team about a coordinator or position coaching spot if the assistant in question is still under contract.
