even if he just starts running around without telling anyone anything they have a better chance at winning the game. definitely not putting it on that play, though... the abberderis fumble was the costliest given the timing but oregon was just too good to beat with so many small mistakes.

I would bet you are right. There is no way with 2 seconds you can spike UNLESS everyone is set and the QB is already in position under center. One word count, snap and spike. The QBwould need to watch the arm of the ref and not rely on the whistle. The Badgers did not appear to do any of this except perhaps have all but QB set at whistle.

The alternative is to call a play on the fly which they obviously choose not to do . Unsure whether they have that kind of thing in their arsenal.

Coach Aggressive might have a few holes in his clock management playbook.

Badger DBs could not catch Oregon players, couldn't cover well
Oregon D-line was MUCH better5 than Badger D-line
Oregon much more talented, overall.

The official who wound the clock was a good ten yards behind the QB so he could only go by the whistle and may have thoguht he had time. I doubt the call on the fly...which was their only option....was in their arsenal. I think most of us would agree coach aggressive has plenty of holes in game management

Badgers LB's are better overall

Badgers secondary had several blown Schottenheimer like coverages where they went the wrong way. Perhaps that was part of the A game you speak of ?
