The NFL knows how to make money and hype up an event that's for sure. (see Draft, NFL)

      Just say no.
      I can't run no more
      With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
      Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
      A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

They could have eliminated any one of the combo Alec-Deion-Lenny and I would have been OK. But they went with all three and that is too much.

Quit being a bunch of haters. Sounds like it is just part of Superbowl weekend. All you bitches are gonna watch it on your big screens you bought specifically to watch NFL football.

The interesting thing is that it's a distinct implication that the NFL now officially endorses a heretofore unofficial award. Until now, the NFL didn't have official awards (and I guess technically still don't). They're AP awards and therefore awarded by a bunch of journalists who 1) don't completely understand football (heck, even Marinelli still has a job) and 2) don't cover enough of the teams to truly have a fair opinion.

The awards should be decided by a panel of scouts who aren't allowed to vote for their own teams. As should the pro bowl. Done.
No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.

Even scouts don't track all teams. They are too busy scouting anyway. I like the simplicity of your idea and I like the idea of having the same format for both MVP and Pro Bowl voting.

Maybe have two rounds, where fans players vote in round one, then take the top 5 and let coaches/teams and press vote in round two.

They had me until they said Marble Mouth Sharpe. Someone should check that guy for post concussion syndrome.

Well it's not as bad as the LeBron James decision show, but having to compare it with that crap shows how lame it is. Then again, I think the Oscars and Emmys lame unwatchable crap as well.
