Philbin's kid fell through the ice behind where my wife works in Oshkosh. She said the security guard heard someone crying for help. After the body was recovered, she said there were helicopters flying over the plant she works most of the day.

Regardless of how Philbin's son died, it's a tragic loss for Philbin and his family. Parents should never have to bury their kids...

Terrible news. Makes me think about Ray Sherman son's death.

It takes a terrific toll on the family. Philbin should not make any big changes right now, just keep his job and help heal up the family. I am positive that the Packers organization and the community will rally around them.

What a hard time for them, especially Joe. It should be joyous watching the Pack march towards the Super Bowl, all the while hurting inside because your son is gone. God bless Joe and his family.

I cannot imagine the hurt they are going through. I pray for them,

I as a person would want to focus on work, but would not do that so I could help my family deal with their emotions. I dont blame him if he is done for the season.

              That's good.

it would be damned impossible to help crank out the gameplan with all this mess going on.

I well imagine MM, AR, & Clements have that gameplan ready to give to the boys tommorrow.

I know MM has a few sugar plays for the Giants on Sunday.

seems i remember mm, or someone, say the used the off week to plan for all options. having played nyg earlier this year should make it easier. nothing's really changed with their team.

Their superstars on the defensive line will be playing this week. I expect a much more ferocious pass rush than the one we saw earlier in the season. Other than that it's the same team.

Umenyiora is back and playing RE on passing downs. Tuck, usually LE is playing inside for pass rush like he did on 07 and JPP lines up at RE in base and LE for pass rush. So both tackles will see him, Bulaga will get his pass rush.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Osi Umenorrhea is the Key. His return to health opens up a lot on the D-line. I wasn't so worried about Tuck outside, because his productivity was down, but he's a matchup problem for inside linemen on passing downs. The tackles have to win their individual battles, because you don't want your guards having to provide help when they have to deal with an athletic guy like Tuck inside -plus possible LB rushes.

One good thing is that the Giant LBs aren't that great this year.

and their secondary is poor due to injury.
