Has Alex Smith ever played an NFL game in freezing conditions? He doesn't impress me as a guy who will have great accuracy in less than ideal conditions.Originally posted by red View Posthe should have had 2 or 3 int's though. the saints secondary can't catch anything. even their own coach said so before the game. our d might be one of the worst right now, but we know how to grab those opportunities when they are presentedIt's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

very very trueOriginally posted by gbgary View Postgotta beat nyg first. don't poke at the gods.
but to be honest, the two teams i feared most in the playoffs were the lions and the saint. i"m pretty happy that they are both gone. they were the two hottest teams going into the playoffs

YES. the saint might be a dome team, but the 49ers are a fair weather team.Originally posted by gbgary View Posta one dimensional indoor team in the cold? maybe. gotta beat nyg first though.
with san fran, you have to worry about davis burning you, and thats about it other then gore and the run. smith and the other receivers aren't all that special
the saint passing game, dome or not, scared the hell out of me, dome or not. our secondary sucks this year and they have many guys that can burn you. and i wanted nothing to do with that quick little fucker sproles

lets also not forget one possible huge factor
If we beat NY
its pretty damn clear these days that a-rod has carried a grudge over smith being taken first in the draft and rodgers falling all the way to us. rodgers migh have an extra spark and some more motivation to completely light up the team that passed him up

Love how everyone is giving credit to SF defense... they gave up a ton of yards and forced a bunch of turnovers...
Wait - that sounds like OUR much maligned defense. The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

That's it! Rodgers has been exorcising demons since he started this run last December: Eagles (4th and 26), Falcons (Vick shredding) last year. Giants (playoffs 2007) at Lambeau in January and Alex Smith (Personal) this year.Originally posted by red View Postlets also not forget one possible huge factor

Played at Utah. Has to get cold there, doesn't it?Originally posted by King Friday View PostHas Alex Smith ever played an NFL game in freezing conditions? Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
