That would be the O line, right?Originally posted by Patler View PostI would be. I don't think MM looks at QB coach as an entry position into the coaching ranks, and I don't believe Gannon has any coaching experience.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Wan't he a caddy for Brett one year? Or was that the other Billie Joe?Originally posted by vince View PostIn his Tuesday radio show, Rodgers mentioned the name Billy Joe Tolliver as a possibility for QB coach. I don't remember Tolliver ever being on the Packer roster, which doesn't mean he wasn't.
Rodgers said that Tolliver was being discussed as QB Coach back when Clements was hired and McCarthy likes him. He would have been McCarthy's backup QB in New Orleans I think. Rodgers said he's gotten to know Billy over the years and would like him as well, although he said he didn't know if it was even a remote possibility at this point.
Patler is right again, unless you added this last sentence to Wikipedia qucikly...
A graduate of Boyd High School and Texas Tech University, Tolliver was selected 51st in the 1989 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He started 19 games in two seasons at San Diego before being traded to Atlanta, where he saw playing time as a backup for three seasons. In 1994, he became one of three starting quarterbacks for Houston, then became the quarterback of the Shreveport Pirates during their final season of activity. After not seeing playing time in 1996, Tolliver played for both Atlanta and Kansas City in 1997. He then started 11 games for New Orleans in two seasons, but did not take the field in 2000. A stint with Green Bay in the 2001 offseason was the last stop in his professional career.Last edited by vince; 02-03-2012, 01:52 PM.

I never thought of Billy Joe Tolliver as a student of the game.
But maybe that's what happens when your parents name you "Billy Joe." I suppose if his name were "Reginald Tolliver III" I'd probably think he was a Rhoades Scholar."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."
