    2 Good Reads: McCarthy On Offseason Plan So Far

    McGinn got some good detail from M3 about their evaluation of the previous season and what he will do from this point forward.

    1. Staff discussed Bush over Shields on run downs weeks before we saw it versus the Giants.
    2. M3 likes Bush(!) and wants him back. Admits trying him at safety was not a good call a few years ago.
    3. Tackling had been emphasized on Wed/Thur practices. Since that wasn't enough and the trend is headed in the wrong direction, bad tackling will be treated like fumbling from now on. Player hits the bench.
    4. Woodson is not headed for safety and M3 expects Williams to rebound when healthy. Shields seems on notice after regressing.
