Now that the combine is over, I'd like to conduct a mock draft. This year, to make it easier and speed things up, you can make your picks on FF toolbox. First come, first serve, please limit your picks to 2 teams per person to give everyone a chance to pick. When you make a selection, in the comment box put your username (and a comment if you wish), then click on the "save for later" tab at the bottom of the page. Do not pick for the Packers![ I will conduct a poll so we can make a consensus pick for them. I already selected Andrew Luck for the Colts so if you want to make a selection go ahead! The username is packrulz and the password is cheese, when you log in, click on packrulz's Mock Draft, be sure to click "save for later" after you make your pick. Here's the link: http://www.fftoolbox.com/customize/logout.cfm

I think we did a 2nd one like this after the first one last year, but we did it on a thread here. As aggravating as the first one was, what with people signing up and then not showing up for 48 hours when their pick was due, it gave me a chance to make a list, research team needs, and ultimately be prepared to make smart picks.
I was kind of excited to see this thread, thinking we could start to pick our teams. Now I feel a little let down. Like when Ziggy saw the Chippendales were coming to town only to discover it was an exhibition of 200 year-old tables and chairs.
Once we get the first slow-moving aggravating draft completed I might participate, and if you post the poll here at 'rats I'll weigh in also.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I don't get how this format prevents you from making a list, researching team needs, & etc. ???Originally posted by swede View PostI think we did a 2nd one like this after the first one last year, but we did it on a thread here. Well, I suppose it doesn't prevent me, and I mean no disrespect to your efforts. I hope it is fun for everyone involved.Originally posted by packrulz View PostI don't get how this format prevents you from making a list, researching team needs, & etc. ???
I like the rats draft a lot last year, and I enjoyed planning around a particular team at a particular spot. I picked Sherrod for the Steelers just a few picks before us, so I thought it was really cool that we picked him close to the same point in the draft.
If some people have already done 15 first round mocks I can see how they would be ready to rock a speed mock.
Look. I'm an old guy. I still go inside the BP to pay for my gas. Change bugs me.

Excellent! Let's get started, I'll take Indianapolis.Originally posted by Deputy Nutz View PostI would rather do a mock on here, and not be so damn impatient and let people make their picks, or start the draft on a set date and give a poster a time limit to make their selection or they lose their selection.
With the first pick of the 2012 NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts move on from Peyton Manning and his single Super Bowl, and select Andrew Luck, and hope that like the Packers, they will have two HOF caliber QB's in a row. Good luck to them.
Who's up for St-Louis?--

Should we make alist of who's got what or just wing it then?"I would love to have a guy that always gets the key hit, a pitcher that always makes his best pitch and a manager that can always make the right decision. The problem is getting him to put down his beer and come out of the stands and do those things." - Danny Murraugh

Maybe I'm old school too or not getting it...but what is the purpose of going through fftoolbox ? Is that cuz the site will make the draft go faster/times out picks ?TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Exactly, it has a drop down menu and is faster. We can do it on here but this year it's first come, first serve, I'm tired of PMing people several times to make their picks. Packers pick will be consensus from a poll.
1. Colts= Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford= Guiness
2. Rams
3. Vikings
4. Browns
5. Buccaneers
6. Redskins
7. Jaguars
8. Dolphins
9. Panthers
10. Bills
11. Chiefs
12. Seahawks
13. Cardinals
14. Cowboys
15. Eagles
16. Jets
17. Raiders-x
18. Chargers
19. Bears
20. Titans
21. Bengals
22. Falcons-y
23. Lions
24. Steelers
25. Broncos
26. Texans
27. Saints-z
28. Packers
29. Ravens
30. 49ers
31. Patriots
32. Giants
x -- Goes to Bengals as part of Carson Palmer trade
y -- Goes to Browns as part of Julio Jones draft-day trade
z -- Goes to Patriots as part of trade involving Mark Ingram
St. Louis is on the clock...Last edited by packrulz; 03-05-2012, 05:18 AM.Thanks Ted!

I will draft for Minnesota since no one will do it
Morris Claiborne, CB
5-11, 188, LSU
Minnesota's secondary is weak, and having the Packers and Detroit in the same division the Vikings secondary needs to come up to speed with their pass rush. Claiborner is a solid corner, in a weak class overall.

So RJ3 remains on the board for the 4th pick. Do they believe in McCoy less than the Vikings (at least in this draft) believe in Ponder?
If trades were allowed, the lines to Cleveland would be burning up right now.--

I signed on to take the Browns in the draft and here I am on the clock. Luckily, I will need less time than Holmgren deciding whether or not to allow the Broncos to score. With a taco platter sitting half eaten on his desk because things have happened so fast and so well;
With the 4th pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Robert Griffin Jr. the IIIrd, QB, Baylor. Which we have been informed is somewhere in Texas.
**********
I will also take the Seachickens if we need to double up.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
