I said when Manning first got cut that Titan fans are happy. I felt like that's his destination all along. so we'll see. They just signed Hutchinson to shore up that line a little bit. We'll see how it shakes out.

I hope Miami blows it and Flynn goes to Seattle...or....AZ has a decision to make on Kolb. That wouldn't be a horrible landing place either if AZ wanted to go that route.

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post confirms that free agent quarterback Matt Flynn arrived at the Dolphins' facility around 5 or 6 a.m.

Matt Flynn's father Alvin Flynn (a suspected Irish American) reported that his son enjoyed what he saw in Seattle but wanted to visit at least two NFL teams before signing a contract. That his son would make a 'prompt' decision.

Peyton Manning may take his sweet old time about making a decision, but the NFL's second-best free agent quarterback plans to sign soon.

Dolphins or Seahawks? Matt Flynn’s dad says decision will come soon

With reports that Alex Smith will be going to look at Miami the plot thickens in the life of Matt Flynn again. Is his future so tied to other NFL QB's FA efforts. It seems so until he's finally inked that new NFL contract with some team NOT named Packers.

I wonder is TT pulling for him?

I guess they'll be happy if this backup QB from Green Bay named Matt plays as well as the last one.

everyone thinks he picked Seattle all things being equal. There was a report the Miami low balled him. Maybe Philbin isnt as enamored with Flynn as everyone thinks. Maybe this was his only legit starting type offer.

So is this contract big enough to get us our 3rd round compensatory pick?

Its not as big as Kampman's and he netted the team a 4th? Or was it a 3rd?

And QB has a higher pay scale. There is a component that takes play in the first year as part of the compensation calculation. So he needs to be lights out.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I've read that the contract is the biggest consideration, but do you know if it's the total value of the contract, or average annual value of the contract, or first year value of the contract, or total guaranteed value of the contract?

                            Sounds like it is not:

Whether it is a fourth for each, or a single third for two FAs lost may depend on how many FAs are lost league wide that justify compensatory picks. The number awarded is fixed, but the rounds are not.
