I like Tolbert for the role, but agree that it doesn't make sense for GB to pursue that. I don't think TT is going to pay that kind of money for a FA 3rd down back and I think we all believe that money could be used elsewhere (resigning Wells, improving defense).

If we are honest about the amount of money we are under the CAP. It`s pretty obvious that Ted Thompson doesn`t have a lot to manouever with and he has thoughts for where that extra money will be better spent.

ie He may intend on retaining Donald Driver. I`m tending to be resolved to this. We will loose Scott Wells. MM knows where our backup center is in his development and the decision may be best to go in the direction of a younger center.

Realistically... are we poised to make another Super Bowl run é Ted thompson is weighing that question Vs the tems most pressing needs.

I think if there's a position we go after in FA, "running back" is way ,way, way down the list.

I would much rather acquire a free agent defensive lineman, outside linebacker, center, or defensive back than a running back. Give me Myers or Langford before you give me Tolbert.

Absolutely we are. We lost to the eventual Super Bowl champ and I would take our chances on a rematch, or against any other team in the league. I don't know that we were quite as good as our record, but we are without a doubt among the league's few elite.

We have questions of strength on our OL. We may lose our Pro Bowl Center.

We will draft and recruit to improve the 'D' and the only direction there is up.

In that last game Vs the GIANTS we were still in it until the fourth quarter and the wheels came off. We were still in that game inspite of a terrible performance by our normally potent offense.

Tolbert is cool and all, but he's not going to be a Packer. I'm pretty sure his best offer will be from San Diego.
