Agree entirely. Now Moss goes to a run first team and a QB who has had 1 good season. I don't see this as the move that puts them over the top.

So the team has Moss as a third option. And they don't expect hissy fits??? I like this move from a Packers perspective. The only thing that scares me is if teh third best corner is on Moss he will still get seperation when he wants to, could amount to a few big big plays every game.

I believe if Randy Moss doesn't get seperation from defensive backs he will receive a seperation PRONTO from the San Francisco 49ers.

I believe if Randy Moss contributes to the 49ers ' at his potential '. Both he and the 49ers will be very pleased with this signing.

Randy Moss showed up for workouts with the 49ers on Monday as planned. But the veteran receiver doesn't necessarily have a spot reserved on the depth chart.

Randy Moss shows up to 49ers with roster spot in doubt.

"Randy Moss wasn't in attendance for the first two weeks of the San Francisco 49ers' offseason program, but he arrived Monday just in time for the first on-field coaching session.

Matt Maiocco of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports that coach Jim Harbaugh suggested Moss spend the first two weeks at home, so that's what he did. Moss joins a team that looks more difficult to make after the events of draft weekend." Article

He's a heck of an unknown. What does he bring to the game? Any wiggle left, or is he just going to burn off the line, run a deep route and try to out jump a db? He seemed to be pretty close to that sort of a one trick pony before he hung it up.

If that's the case, he shouldn't be too hard to cover. Just put a guy with equal or better speed, like Shields on him, and that should take care of most of the problem.

Quite likely, however, that he starts the season #3 on the depth chart, and finishes it at #4. Crabtree and Manningham should be the 1-2, and they're going to give Jenkins, their first round choice, every opportunity he needs. Add in Vernon Davis, and I don't see how many balls will be going his way.

The flip side of that is that Crabtree and Manningham aren't world beaters. He could end up the #1!

Minicamp season is in full bloom, giving us our final, fleeting morsels of football action before a month-long hiatus leading up to training camp. The pads are not on just yet, but several players have made waves thus far with their teams...

" So far, so good with the 49ers. Moss has shown a little of his old self while engrossing himself in the offense and ingratiating himself to his teammates.

If he can capture a little of the old magic and stays happy, the 49ers could have an incredible receiving corps on their hands. "

Moss's chances of making the team went up because the guy the drafted at #1 is not looking good. I follow Illinois whenever I can and when SF drafted AJ Jenkins, my reaction was wtf, not a good pick.

Randy Moss benched in his 3rd game with the 49ers.

Is this the beginning of the end in SF?
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

How come his benching usually seems to coincide with the team taking a dump?
