His minimum for two years is just over $13 mil and can be $16 if he starts this year (have not seen trigger laid out in detail). So if he flops, $10 mil guaranteed, if he starts and makes it to year two, between $13 and $16 mil. If he is lights out, new contract. Not a bad deal for either side.
I think the courtship of Flynn this year shows a little more caution by GM's. Yet, the contract he signed gives Flynn an awful nice chunk of change, while still allowing him to reap the rewards if he proves himself, both short term and long term. If he flops, the Seahawks are done with him very quickly, with no long term cap issues as a result.

Dang, if GMs all start being reasonable like this, it will make it harder for the Packers to compete!

After Kolb, teams seem to have exhausted themselves with finding the next QB as a current backup. At least at retail prices. I think the insanity will be restored in 2014.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

                            I prefer woody's format though.

I see. Clefty's privileges on the JSonline site have been sharply curtailed, so I didn't quickly check that link. Even so, a curmudgeon can try to be humerus, right. I'm not guaranteeing success, but attempts were made.

Sorry, I think that should be humorous - am struggling with an unexplained swelling in the forearm, and it is preoccupying my mind.
