Handful of TEAMS Interested in Trading for WR Mike Wallace

There are reportedly a "handful" of teams interested in trading for restricted free agent Mike Wallace.

Coming a day after a report that Wallace has no intention of signing his one-year tender, this smacks of agent Bus Cook trying to force the Steelers' hand. If Pittsburgh isn't willing to hand over a long-term deal at more than $10 million per season, Cook wants to send Wallace to another team at less than a first-round price. Any team attempting to acquire Wallace would have to satisfy his contract wishes as well as the Steelers' compensation demands. The chances of a trade decrease dramatically after the upcoming draft.

Steelers keep WR Cotchery on two-year deal

"Steelers agreed to terms with WR Jerricho Cotchery on a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old Cotchery drew interest from the Rams, Chiefs, and Jets in free agency, but he's returning to Pittsburgh to compete for third receiver duties. Cotchery appeared in 13 games with the Steelers last season, working mostly in the slot and hauling in 16 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. He'll battle oft-injured Emmanuel Sanders to retain that role. " Story fr. LINK

Giants acquire WLB Rivers for 5th-round pick

Giants acquired WLB Keith Rivers from the Bengals in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2012 draft.

It's the last pick in the fifth round, so it's as close as you can possibly get to the sixth. Rivers developed a bit of a "soft" reputation as the former No. 9 overall pick in the draft with Cincinnati, but he was not averse to playing through injuries and is a quality run defender when healthy.

Look for Michael Boley to start at middle linebacker for the Giants. Rivers should handle the weak-side duties, with Mathias Kiwanuka staying on the strong side. " NFL Source

Keith Rivers, eh? I guess he never came back from that hit Heinz Ward gave him. He looked good coming out of college, played well the first half of his rookie season until Ward broke his jaw with a helmet first blindside block. Didn't hear much about him after that.

I'm no fan of Hines Ward either.

This Packer fan friend is also 'a Lady' Pugger.... a die hard GB Packer fan.

She's really not down with Hines Ward's style of play. That style of play seems to be what sets him apart from most NFL Wideouts.
