WHAT!!!!! That makes absolutely no sense unless there was an underlying health problem revealed from his recent injury. Teddy Football just doesn't give up on his picks like that.
Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
Peter: I'll tell you what it's not for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.

Perhaps it is a mistake? I can't find it anywhere else.

Has to be a misprint. There's nothing anywhere else that I've found.

This came up a few days/weeks ago. The beat reporters all claimed it was not true. But have not seen anything explaining the error.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

This coming Sunday is April Fools Day.

LT Derek Sherrod RELEASED !? Uhh !?

wist43 didn't see much that impressed him about this LT prospect.

Yet if that's 'a fact' I'm surprized. I'm checking that for TRUTH. That doesn't seem like a Ted Thompson style move. If TT releassed Derek Sherrod it seems to me the reason may be long term injury related or a very limited possibility that this premium draft pick can ever play LT effectively.

I have to confirm this as 'a fact' taking nothing away from sharpe1027 the poster of this thread.

There may be no other position in all of football that’s so valuable—yet also so thankless—as the offensive tackle position...

Unless he was caught with Thompsons niece or something, this makes no sense.

The Packers normally update their roster on packers.com quite promptly when transactions are made.

                Muir is on the roster.
                Saturday is on the roster.
Sherrod is still on the roster.

There have been several instances of news services erroneously reporting that a famous person has died. Typically they keep and periodically update obituaries for famous people, so when the time comes they can release it promptly. The updating process has occasionally resulted in a "release" of the obituary instead of a "save".

Didn't the Packers accidentally do the same thing about Favre retiring one year? It might have even been the year he actually did retire. If I remember correctly, they released it as the front page of their website for a few hours before the mistake was caught and corrected.

Who is responsible for updating the Madtown obit?

I don't think so. Without Sherrod, there is room for 4 Tackles on the roster. And that is likely when Sherrod could begin on PUP and then IR if recovery takes the slow road. You could argue Lang is the fourth tackle, but even as the fifth tackle last year he was called upon. And you don't want to shuffle like that if it can be avoided. If they carry 3 and consider Lang the fourth, its a definite risk.

Unless there is something about his injury and recovery we don't know about, it would be a poor decision to put that kind of talent on the street in Year 2.
