Positives:
Has natural leverage and is difficult to engage. Explosive quickness and disruptive penetrating ability. Highly athletic. Terrific balance and agility — feels pressure and protects his legs. Coordinates quick, active hands and feet and has flexible hips to work an edge. Surprising punch strength. Propels himself off blocks. Ranges to secure tackles and is able to drop into short zone. Rare leaping ability. Is tough and will play hurt. Outstanding football character with leadership traits.
Negatives:
Undersized — is short and lacks ideal height and bulk. Is not stout against the run. Moved by double-teams. Lets his pads rise and gets jostled inside. Rotation player until senior season. Durability needs to be considered — is not built to withstand a 16-week pounding and has been dinged up, including multiple concussions.
Summary:
Small-framed, explosive, upfield penetrator with outstanding athletic ability and tireless work habits. Is not suited to handle a large percentage of snaps, but provides value as a sub-package rusher.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.
