After they took Irvin 15th overall, the Seahawks received a call from New York Jets headquarters. The Jets "good-naturedly" cursed at the Seahawks for taking the guy they planned to draft one pick later, according Len Pasquarelli of the SportsXchange. Irvin also was believed to be on the short list of candidates to be drafted in Chicago, Green Bay and San Francisco. One general manager called Irvin the "hottest player in the draft."

The talking heads were surprised he went before Melvin Ingram. I suspect very few NFL GMs were.
I wonder if Tavon Wilson was on other team's radar? He went a lot higher than he was expected to. In other news, his great-great grandmother is alive and 112!--
Imagine for a moment a world without hypothetical situations...

He has the talent but lets remember the last WVU player who went in the 1st round with character issues, as Snake would say it was PacMan yo!Last edited by Brandon494; 05-01-2012, 05:49 AM.

This is one of the things draftniks will always be wrong on since Irvin's stock would be largely based on how his interviews went. Clearly he showed he had done some growing up and quashed any concerns about his character to NFL teams. Nobody knocked him for production and certainly not for his athleticism.70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.
