  • Player Expectations for 2012

I am starting this thread for each and everyone of you to predict the stats and play of individual players.

    Clay Mathews OLB
I am predicting a comeback type season from Mathews. He is going to see an improved defense in front of him with added protection and a pass rush on the opposite side of him. The Packers might ask him to do more in coverage, although I believe that is an over blown opinion simply because Mathews is the Packers most proven pass rusher. The Packers front needs to do a better job at holding the point of attack, and cleaning up their blitz packages for Mathews to succeed. The bottom line is that Mathews is a great player, but all outside linebackers' stats are a product of what is happening in front of them.

    16 game season
93 tackles, 11 sacks, 21 tackles for a loss, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 interception.

      I'll Play:

      Bishop: 120 T, 5 FF, 5 Sacks
      Clay: 60 T, 4 FF, 2 Int, 12 Sacks
      Perry: 50 T, 2 FF, 9 Sacks
      Raji: 30 T, 5 Sacks
      Worthy: 25 T, 2.5 Sacks
      Daniels: 15 T, 6.5 Sacks
      Burnett: 100 T, 2 FF, 6 Int
70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

That's 46 sacks, plus whatever Woodson might get.

DPOY worthy? Probably not in my opinion, but it's still a pretty darn good stat line.

Unknown RB not on the team yet - 1050 yards rushing, 420 yds receiving, 10 total tds, 2 fumbles.

Oh and one small run in with the cops.

                    C'mon! It'll be at least 115 tackles!
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Total tackles? Solo as well as helpers?

Matthews has been evolving as a pass defender as much as a pass rusher. He will be in coverage more this year.
                      60 total tackles, 10.5 sacks, 3 INTs, 14 PDs, 2 FF , 1 TD

Jermichael Finley, healthy and de-hypnotized about catching the ball
65 rec, 927 yds, 12 TDs (Driver is gone, Finley will run the Bubba Franks play at goal line to fall down, get up, be open by default, catch TD)

Desmond Bishop 115 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 3 FF and 2 dropped INTs.

With the added pass rushers drafted onto the team and creating more havoc, Bishop comes in on his delayed blitzes and incredible closing speed to vulture in some bone crushing sacks, which he'll be flagged twice for b.s. personal fouls.

Jarrett Bush making one good play, followed by a ton of bonehead plays and always trailing behind his receiver.
