In all my decades as a Packer fan that game was the most difficult for me to accept in terms of what actually happened. That 30-27 NFC Wild Card - January 3, 1999 loss to the San Fran 49ers. No ... 4 and 26 wasn't the ultimate humiliation for me. Nor was any game where Brett Favre made 'that Rookie Mistake' again. Again... looking at a sure pick and delivering it all the same. Damn Favre made some bonehead plays with a focus too great. With the good to great came 'the ugly'.
It was that game 'in the bag'....... but no ....stolen from our beloved Packers! That playoff game that 'part time job' official's screwed up on the Jerry Rice catch and fumble and the balll should have been ours to end the game.
That game...The subsequent and amazing Steve Young drive and TD pass on a deep right to left slant just into the endzone 'in a crowd' to T. O.
