I'm a little leery of the proclamations of the "Voice of the [fill in team name here]."
They are essentially company employees and so have an interest in (and marching orders to) present the team in a, uh, certain light.
Not that they're never critical - you can't be too obvious - but as their paychecks are tied, indirectly, to the team, they do have to be positive, especially in the offseason, which is the Great White Hope for all teams."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."
