  • 6000 yards passing in a season?

    Apparently Vic Ketchman thinks so:

I say he OD on the Kool-aid. 6000 yards won't happen without an 18 game season, unless the rules go to flag football.

I also don't want AR all that close this year. Just build an early lead, have the defense actually make stops and find a running game to close out the games. No need to make AR's arm fall off.

Maybe if he played against our pass defense each week last year (327 yds per gm, 5237 total). I'd assume the league MVP would have come up with 47 extra yards a game to hit 6000 against that motley crew. Not trolling, just saying.

      No, that's crazy talk.

Hopefully the defense will be playing nowhere near bad enough that Rodgers needs to throw that much.

Good god no. I think last year was a freak year and that 300+ yard games will not be an every week thing for most QB's out there. Remember when it was awesome when a QB got to 300 yards? That either meant that they had an awesome game or they got hammered and were throwing to try and catch up all game long. Last year it seemed to be the average. A rookie QB going for 400+ a few games in a row was no big deal. If we base our estimate of the future on last year alone, then yes, 6K is possible. If you take into account all the crap that happened last year though with training camp and hesitancy with the new $50K fines and you figure that it's going to level out a bit, then I think 6K is a little to high.

Yeah, I think the Packer defense could give up that many yds

4,796?? Is that right?? NFL record!! Most passing yds allowed - ever!! woo hoo!!!

A paltry sum by some measures - with a little effort, or lack thereof, surely we can get to 6K??
