Those were awesome. I love the first one with Ray sitting down and sipping water out of the Dixie Cup. I can't believe Lombardi let him goldbrick like that.

Confronted with that problem, Lombardi would have screamed at the next rookie that took too long getting a drink. He was pretty good at artfully displacing rage so he didn't have to yell at Nitschke or Starr.

I loved looking at those pictures. Lambeau Field hadn't yet acquired the green cladding that I remember from my boyhood. I was surprised to see that the Brown County Arena had already been built by '62.
