Saw only the first half but:
Please, please, please let Sherrod get healthy
Welcome to the team Nick Perry (would love for KYPack to tell me that Right Tackle was good because Perry abused him several times)
I think I will like the CedBen era, all apologies to Bretsky for doubting
-even when he ran the zone from single back and picked or pressed the wrong hole, he was very close to breaking it
-if he can pick that up in a week, he will be very good in Week 8
-he did cut back one very well for big yardage, so he can do it
TWill looked healthy
Saturday has to pass block longer
Defense looked vastly more aggressive
-loved the pass rush
-loved the goal line stand
-loved seeing a 3 man rush and deep zone forcing a short throw and then something happen that I think is called a tackle short of the first down marker
-at times looked like a Steelers defense from 5 years ago
Worthy, even when blocked at goal line, still fought and stayed square, not losing his feet or angle, he might make it
Hope Crabtree is healthy, I don't think that was a penalty though (the penalty on the deep throw to Nelson was missed entirely)
Hope Pickett calf injury is minor
Saw Ryan Taylor get open a few times, good newsBud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I was happy with all of these things too. AR and GJ have a little chemistry to work in, but other than that, I think the offense is going to be a beast again.Originally posted by pbmax View PostSaw only the first half but:

Loved Benson. LOVED him. Just going off one half of football, he's the best running back we've had since A Green. He's the first RB we've had who knows when to set up a block and when to go forward. Just an all around natural runner.
I don't know if he's a game breaker, but he's that type of back who's going to get you the quick yards every time and that extra 4 or 5 when it's there.
Looks like the perfect back for our offense. I'd rather have Benson of 4 years ago, but if you're not goign to invest big bucks in a RB, I think we have the best we could get.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

I'm getting all hot and bothered hearing you talk this way, you naughty boy, you!

The thing that stood out the most about Benson was the play actions to me. The Bengals respected his ability and got sucked in time after time on the play action.
Benson was very decisive when running. He made his cut and hit the hole.
McMillian could be the next Nick Collins, small school guy who makes an impact in the NFL.But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I'm a big Collins fan. I think he's the best tackler I've seen in the last 10 years (I really only follow the Packers close enough to know anyone else)
But yeah, McMillan looked good. I'm still in wait and see mode, but I liked what I saw too. Looks tough, fast and the shocking thing, he was sticky in coverage. That's the part I did not expect, not at all.
Oh, and with Collins gone, Bush looks like the best tackler on our team

He's 205 with speed and agility, but he plays like 225. Tough guy! Hell, if Capers wants to go small and fast, throw Bush in there as an ILB type guy. He can sift through traffic, bend under blocks and tackle with the best of them. I can't imagine his coverage is any worse than the ILB's. Collins had that way about him, sifting through traffic and bending/beating blocks. It doesn't seem like anyone can really get their hands on him. Damn it, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm a big fan of Bush. More as a LB/DB hybrid than a pure DB. I just think he's tough enough, where if you have him on the field in place of a guy like Hawk, you're not giving up much toughness and you're gaining a guy who can beat blocks and make big tackles.Last edited by RashanGary; 08-24-2012, 12:38 AM.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

But at least those of us not in Wisconsin were able to see the game no matter how chitty the feed and how many ads popped up in the field of view.Originally posted by Freak Out View PostLet the kool-aid flow my Packer brethren! God I hate watching football on a shitty feed from a fucking Euro website.
I'm with the rest of you gentlemen singing Benson's praises today. It was nice to see a back that can actually make people miss and will hit the hole with authority.
