I'd like to see Hoyer, Kafka, and maybe Matt Moore spend a year in GB and go through the QB school.

Are you saying you'd choose Graham Harrell over all of the above mentioned players and Moore ?

BTW, if I had to choose one to play an extended period of time for Green Bay this year if Rodgers missed six games...........that player would be Jeff Garcia

There is no developmental guy I want more, no. Kafka was in a very advantageous situation is Philly and he still couldn't be #3. He lost out to re-engineered Trent Edwards. Moore will cost someone picks and is having trouble in a West Coast offense as someone else pointed out.

I agree about Garcia being a nice middle-reliever, though not sure when he last threw a pass in anger. But his veteran status means he will be available until disaster strikes somewhere.

I don't think the Packers want their backup QB to be a guy who has little chance to be anything more than a backup QB. They want their backup QB to be someone who they think is good enough to be a starter some day. So they will stick with Harrell for now and try to develop Coleman who certainly does have the physical talent.

It would bug me if Kafka wore the green and gold, but maybe with MM's quarterbacks school, the guy could undergo a metamorphosis.
