A little early to tell how good they will be. All of the rookies contributing gives hope for improvement. However, they're only 25th against the run, and they will have to improve on that if they want to be a top defense.

They didn't look good in the first game, but were outstanding in the second. Seattle will be an interesting test - good running and a limited but efficient passing attack.

Green Bay is currently 2nd in pass defense yardage, with 132.5. They are giving up more rushing yards than passing yards.

They are 3rd in passer rating against, at 64.7.

So it looks like they've fixed the defense, but as brought up in the Finley thread drift, their offense is now broken. 23 ppg is just not cutting it.

Based on our 1 game experiments against totally different offenses, It sure does seem like having a competent-looking safety who can tackle (McMillan) helps.

I agree to an extent. It's just fun extrapolating from small samples. When the experiments cost so much, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. If only they could turn science experiments into such a public spectacle. Maybe they should have sent 2 rovers to Mars and made them battle for samples, then charged $150 a pop to watch it in large auditoriums where you could buy overpriced food and crappy domestic beer. They could have funded several iterations.
