Simultaneous possession always goes to offense. Tate had his arm between Jennings arms. Jennings had his arms wrapped around the ball, against his chest. Tate's arm was against the ball. Apparently an arm touching the football is considered possession now.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostIt seems like the review tried to save face for the onfield referee. I have no idea how they could call that a catch by the offensive player. Bizarre.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

SO why listen to only one ref - #84 called it differently... so weird.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostCan't review possesion. All they can catch is if dropped the ball and if the player was out of bounds. The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

Good catch. So my hopes during review were futile.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostCan't review possesion. All they can catch is if dropped the ball and if the player was out of bounds.
None of you can know this, but years ago during the first iteration of replay (opening game, Browns v Bears 1986), the non sensical approach to reviewing only certain calls caused me to complain that they would eventually review everything and the games will take four hours.
We are almost there.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Those refs looked pretty old, but there's no way they can still be reffing all these years after the '72 Munich games."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

They had two simultaneous calls in the end zone. What needs to happen there is the referee has to pull both officials aside and ask what they saw and make a determination on who had more credible info. Make the call on the field based on the discussion.
Then he can go to the booth. That did not happen here.
