  • Reading around the net, Seahwaks fans are now justifying the call saying that receivers make one-handed catches all the time. Therefore Tate sticking one hand on the ball justifies the simultaneous catch. Delusional in my opinion, but we ended up with the loss.

I know one additional team I will be rooting against this season.

    • I think Seattle fans have handled it better than most. There was a poll in one of the Seattle newspapers on whether Tate should have been awarded a TD, and something like 85% said no. The headline in the Seattle paper said "Seahawks steal one."
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

      • No problem with Seattle players or fans here. Already didn't like Carroll so nothing has changed there! If Jordy or Finley had pulled that off I would be calling him brilliant and that's just the breaks. If Seattle fans want to trade a Super Bowl for a reg season win, they can knock themselves out.

My only concern is the response of the team (esp. offense) this Sunday.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

        • I don't blame Tate for the official's call. I am not impressed by his denials after-the-fact. You can conjure up hypothetical one-handed catches, but the reality is to show possession with one hand, you need to show that you have control of the ball. Jennings had both hands and the ball pinned to his chest. How in the hell could Tate have control of the ball with one hand in that situation?
