Where do I find the refs names and qualifications?

I know there are no Division 1-A referees (I know it's a different name now). Many major conferences have a referee development contract with the NFL that precludes them doing so, and the other 1-A conferences chose to follow their lead. Many are junior college or high school referees; I think there might be some D2 and D3 referees. Some are retired or former 1-A refs. Rhone-Dunn used to be a Division 1-A official and even worked the Sugar Bowl a few years ago. It figures he'd be the one who got the call in the end zone right and was overturned by Easley, who's a California junior college ref.Originally posted by pbmax View PostThis demonstrates that colleges have some good refs or at least better then terrible. I don't think they have any D1 refs as replacements. Do they even have any college refs? NCAA might have prohibited the rest.Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

That's exactly the point Peter King made this morning in SI: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...#ixzz27Uj542OPOriginally posted by denverYooper View PostOne of the criticisms that I've been hearing about the call last night is the failure of the Referee to conference with the 2 officials who had clearly made different calls on the same play.Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. The LFL issued a press release last night claiming "several crews" that had been let go for incompetence were working as NFL replacement officials: http://deadspin.com/5946112/the-lingerie-football-league-announces-that-it-fired-a-couple-crews-which-apparently-are-now-officiating-in-the-nfl-because-of-incompetenceOriginally posted by Freak Out View PostApparently some of these wankers were fired from the Lingerie League for incompetence.
Can't be true.
The only specific person anyone's pointed to, though is referee Mike Ochoa, who was called out by Mike Pereira during a broadcast earlier this year as having been dumped by the Lingerie Football League.
Rejected by a group of pretty women...sounds like some of my Saturday nights in college.

Want to read something even more infuriating? The official overseeing the botched replay last night was none other than Phil Luckett. He's the putz who couldn't even get the coin flip right in a Steelers-Lions game. They now make the visitors call it before the coin is tossed because of this clown.
It wasn't 3 blind mice, it was the Helen Keller Society officiating last nights game. (my apologies to associating anyone who is hearing or visually impaired to these clowns who worked the game)-digital dean

So we get idiots who can't even keep their eyes on the action of hot women in lingerie grabbing each other?Originally posted by Badgerinmaine View PostThe LFL issued a press release last night claiming "several crews" that had been let go for incompetence were working as NFL replacement officials: http://deadspin.com/5946112/the-lingerie-football-league-announces-that-it-fired-a-couple-crews-which-apparently-are-now-officiating-in-the-nfl-because-of-incompetence

This incident furthers the "Luckett legacy". His fuck-up in the coin toss is only one of his famous screw-ups. NFL films did a mini feature on Luckett and all his mess ups when he was an active NFL referee. Luckett should have contacted the referee down on the field and schooled him to get involved in the situation becuase they had a hot replay that needed to be factored into the decision.Originally posted by mraynrand View PostPhil Luckett?
Good Lord
The Seahawk debacle is the fourth or fifth famous fubar in Luckett's long career.

It's hard to keep your eye on the ball when the only penalty you can think of is "illegal use of hands".Originally posted by MadScientist View PostSo we get idiots who can't even keep their eyes on the action of hot women in lingerie grabbing each other?
