  • Regular Official Week 4 Oher Games Thread

Tried to get three references in the title but it was becoming a Kafka novel is 25 characters.

I have seen one call I think was bad, but it was arguable and did not get challenged (not sure if you can challenge a call of no completion). But best of all is the pacing. They are hurrying to get play under way again. Beautiful.

Surprised Browns D is holding up this well. There is talent on this team but if they blow up the front office again this offseason its another step back.

Richardson can run and is more than tough enough for the NFL. Jim Brown should be proud.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Also must watch NFL Special on Cleveland 1995, the year the team left. It will remind me of the misery of the Seattle game times 10.

Bonus: Jim Schwartz was on staff!

I hate Thursday night games. Blew me 16 points in Pick 'em.

The best thing about last night and officiating is nobody noticed them for the most part. The game ran smoothly and the refs were decisive in their calls. They actually had a clue about what they were doing! We may not always agree with the zebras but after 3 weeks of chaos it was nice to see true professionals out there again.

Dick Jauron is a far better D-coor than head coach. Ditto for Brad Childress on the Offensive side. Ironic how many former NFC North Head Coaches there are as coordinators - but we knew most of these guys couldn't cut it as HCs:

I believe the phrase "sad sack" is now officially part of the Browns' team name.

What happened to the boycotting of other games in protest of the NFL? Got a bunch of scabs posting here.

Do we have a fan of "Card Check" present? Cheesehead, don't be to harsh on packerrfans in "right to work states." Scabs don't get beaten up by the union in those states anymore.

Plus, I thought the boycott was conditional upon non-return of the regular not-quite-so-bad officials...

They are a team on the rise. Rookies and second year players are all over that roster. Plus, they don't exactly play in a cupcake division...

Unless we win the Super Bowl!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Only the Lombardy Trophy coming home to Green Bay would make this a season! No pressure, just reality.

Nothing regular about Thursday night games, AFAIC.

I didn't watch any of the game and only listened to a couple of 10 minute patches on the radio while driving my family around last night, but it didn't seem to me that the Ravens were all that impressive. Yet what I'm hearing about this morning is this new vertical passing game that the Ravens have. I would have thought they completely dominated that game and Flacco was the next Aaron Rodgers just from hearing the commentariat this morning. But Baltimore's offense scored 16 pts. So... I dunno...

Browns have a pretty decent defense, even with Joe Haden out for 4 games for popping ADHD pills.
