  • Official Packers at Texans Game Day Thread

It is the worst of times and all is bleak, the hottest topic on PackerRats is Harlan Huckleby crying that something besides his anus has been violated. The G&G faithful have been rocked to the core and the nightmare of last season's ending has continued. Nothing has gone right for this team and all the bad calls are against the Packers. The talk of SB glory has been reduced to Wildcard whispers. We find ourselves in a time when even Brandon494 turns his back on a Black player, Finley none the less! Doomsday preachers like Wist and AtlPackFan spreading their "good" word about the fall of the empire. Many are starting to feel this might not be a good team after all....

Blasphemy I say!! Off with their heads and burn them in a ditch if they dont want to ride with us! Today is the day this shit gets turned around. It has to be. It might be one win but it is the step up out of the hole this team has fell into. The big stage, the fast track, the internal bickering and the chance to be 3-3 after all the messed up shit that has happened in just 5 games. I say they get to .500 and I expect many will be pleasantly surprised when lay their doubting little heads to bed tonight.

Team will rise to the occasion. Packers win by 9.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

In order to win - Pack must win the turnover battle and not lose time of possession by more than 5min. Do that - and Pack wins by 3.

3-3 after playing likes of Niners, Texans, Bears and Saints to start - not so bad afterall. Lose - and it's not over, but team would have to win a few games we aren't supposed to (say Giants, Bears/Lions on the road).

Would love to play as underdog coming into a playoff chase again in Nov/Dec....

      Big game!

I have no idea where this team's head is at. This game could end up just about anywhere. I really think this is a gut check for the team, and for Stubby's leadership. I've built up a lot of confidence in Stubby and his ability to keep players focused and consistent over the years; the Packers rarely get blown away by anyone. The one thing that would really surprise me would be to see the Packers get slaughtered. That would be much more costly than a just a single loss. But playoff losses like last year linger long. You wonder if that failure on the season doesn't keep tickling at the back of the mind of the team, saying "we're just not that good."

Enjoy the game tonight boys. I got out voted 7-1 today, asked to have a coaches meeting earlier today for our playoffgame but was told no. Was told the packers are horrible anyway so why watch it. Kind of angry about it but what can you do.....let's get a W tonight.
