Kuhn and Starks are also on the injury report. This seems like the perfect time for Finley to ace his chemistry test! Of course, he is on the injury report also! Yikes.Originally posted by Pugger View PostIt might be nice if we could have him this week if Jordy is out too. If Jordy's hammy is still sore we'll only have 4 healthy WRs - Jones, Cobb, Driver and Boykin - suiting up.

I know injuries can happen in practice, Nelson's did. But Starks keeps getting injured without ever playing very much. They guy is just never healthy, it seems. Not unlike Justin Harrell. They need to move on from him next season, or maybe even this season if/when Benson comes back.Originally posted by Willard View PostKuhn and Starks are also on the injury report. I have to be fair to Starks here. Apparently he was not injured, but was sick and had a day off because of it:Originally posted by Patler View PostI know injuries can happen in practice, Nelson's did. Running back James Starks missed practice because of illness, but should be OK by Sunday, running backs coach Alex Van Pelt said.

Does anybody else find it just a little peculiar that for the past three weeks Jennings has been reported to have a groin injury, and now it seems to have migrated north to an abdominal muscle tear? Thank goodness he finally went to see a specialist that figured out the hip bones connected to the leg bone, I suppose.

No, not really. They are calling it a sports hernia, which seems to include the groin and lower abdomen:Originally posted by QBME View PostDoes anybody else find it just a little peculiar that for the past three weeks Jennings has been reported to have a groin injury, and now it seems to have migrated north to an abdominal muscle tear? A sports hernia is a painful, soft tissue injury that occurs in the groin area. It most often occurs during sports that require sudden changes of direction or intense twisting movements.
Although a sports hernia may lead to a traditional, abdominal hernia, it is a different injury. A sports hernia is a strain or tear of any soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament) in the lower abdomen or groin area.

Learning is strongly discouraged here. Mindless rants and unsubstantiated opinion are expected. Please fall in line. And before you ask, I honestly don't know why Patler's deviation from the norm is tolerated.Originally posted by QBME View PostAnd there you have it. Now that I've learned something new today, do I get to go home early?
