  • Packers v Cardinals Discussion Thread

Daryn Colledge returns to the scene of the flat footed whiff!

Feel free to bump all the threads I defended him in. Not even Russ Grimm has been able to make that mess work, although, to be fair, there are even worse O lineman on Ariz. than Colledge.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Packers need to make sure Fitz doesn't do to them what Reggie Wayne did. Fitz is the one guy on that offense who can beat you.

The Pack couldn't stop the Elite Cecil Shorts...ugh Gots will go for 150 and a TD and Howling will go for 124 and 2 TDs Pack lose in a laugher.

I'm really hoping they take a step in the right direction with the run game. I'm probably the biggest Starks detractor in the state, but somehow, when push is coming to shove here, I can picture him running forward. Damn it, I never thought I'd say that.

I'd like to see Green get some of the workload taken off in week 9, then get the bye week to really get his legs under him.

Arizona is tied for #1 in the league in sacks. This isn't the game to go out there and let teams headhunt.

Fitz is wonderful but the poor guy doesn't have anybody who can throw to him. AZ's O line is worse than ours so if we can't get to their QB I'll be very disappointed.

Cecil Shorts is not a big name receiver, but he's not a nobody either. Blackmon was drafted high for a reason. It's hard on a secondary when they lose players like Shields and Woodson. Jacksonville's line is quite a bit better than AZ's, too.

                Fixed.

Arizona is also giving up the most sacks in the league. Second most is Green Bay. Should be an interesting game in that regard.

Is Gots actually Fitz but typed with your hands one key too far to the right?

                    LOL!

This is another one of those games that scare me a bit...just like J-Ville did. I don't care who is on the other side of the ball it's going to be to close for comfort in the end.

Arizona, like the rest of the NFC West currently, is another fierce defense. Being the last of their ilk and being right before the bye, I have a feeling that the Packers will put down a stomping. Rodgers will be pissed about his fumbles and relative frustration last week and will come out sharp and with every intention of getting the ball out fast to blunt the Arizona pass rush.

But I won't be surprised if they make it hard, either. There is always the chance they could frustrate and stifle the offense, especially if the Packers sit a lot of starters again. SF is the first team to score 20+ on the Cards. And there is always a chance Peterson kills them on ST, though GB's coverage units have been a pleasant surprise.

I hope the Packers DON'T sit Nelson this week is just b/c the bye is looming on the horizon. The offense was very average last week without Nelson.
